workshop Description

Morning - Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing, also known as “Shinrin-Yoku,” refers to the practice of spending time in Nature for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness.

Although inspired by the Japanese practice, we mean spending time in nature in a way that invites healing interactions. There is a long tradition of this in cultures throughout the world. It’s not just about healing people; it includes healing for the forest, river, or desert - whatever environment you are in. This is not just a walk in the forest, and it's also not hiking.

Through a series of 'invitations' offered, we will help awaken your senses to deepen your connection with yourself, with nature, and with others. At the end of each invitation we'll gather to share our impressions.

During the 3-hours of Forest Bathing:

  • We will guide you slowly and intentionally on a trail to awaken your senses,
  • We will cover no more than 1 km,
  • We will explore reciprocity with the natural world,
  • We will conclude by gathering to share a Forest 'tea'.

Afternoon - Workshop

During the afternoon workshop, Maria will facilitate, Writing Your Heart Will™ as a Manifesto for Living. This Willow End of Life planning workshop offers you the opportunity to reflect on your life, consider your legacy, and write lasting messages to those you love - and future generations.

In doing so, this can transform relationships, create meaningful keepsakes, and produce a manifesto for living fully, right now.

Your Heart Will™ is a tool to help you reflect on your life and create lasting messages for those you love and for future generations. Sometimes referred to as an Ethical Will, Spirit Will or Legacy Letter, your Heart Will™ can be given to specific people at the end of your life, or be shared at a goodbye ritual or ceremony after you die. You might even choose to share your Heart Will™ with others before you die!

Writing your Heart Will™ is also a powerful discovery process that supports you to live and love fully. In essence, your Heart Will can serve as a manifesto for living to ground and guide you when you need it.

(This is not a regular will, which you still need, but can guide you in preparing for doing one)

In this 2-hour workshop you will:

  • Discover how you can use this tool for yourself and to assist others with legacy writing.
  • Get introduced to and experience using the How to Write Your Heart Will™ guide.
  • Experience the impact of reflecting on your life and engaging in the process of discerning who and what matters.

(All materials are provided for the Heart Wills worksho
