Using Zoom you can dial in from your phone or computer for free over video or audio. Through a series of 'invitations', I will guide you slowly, intentionally, and mindfully move through your indoor or outdoor landscape in ways that cultivate presence, opening all the senses.
Actively communicate with the land and connect with others, wherever you are, over 1.5 hours.
You can step away from your screens, if you prefer, simply follow the gentle invitations as you listen to my voice from your phone or computer. You're welcome to join from wherever you are. These online gatherings invite you to participate from a safe and familiar outdoor space near you, such as your garden, a local park or a nearby greenspace.
If you're unable to leave your home, you can participate by looking outside through your window, sitting next to an indoor plant, or gathering items that represent nature to you, such as rocks, seashells, favorite images of nature, herbs, fruits and vegetables, wooden objects, etc.
We will share our experiences with the group after each invitation. Silence is also a means of sharing, and no outcomes are expected.
If you use the Zoom video link, you may call in on your phone or from your computer. You join by dialing in using a phone number, or use your data or internet connection.
For those who will be outside, I suggest that you dress a little warmer than usual since you will be moving slowly and possibly sitting on the ground. Having a small mat, bag, or cushion to sit on can also be nice.
For those of you inside, I suggest sitting near a plant(s) and/or a window with a view outside, if possible. I will be sharing my view, so you can "experience" the outdoors through your screen as well.
Zoom Tips and Etiquette:
We practice Group Etiquette by keeping your phone on mute unless invited to share. On Zoom, in the bottom of your screen, there is a little microphone. Click on it to mute or unmute yourself. In order to ensure the best experience for everyone, please commit to fully participating while you are on the group call and refrain from answering texts or emails.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
How about a different type of experience for a birthday, team building or family gathering?
Forest Bathing, also known as “Shinrin-Yoku,” refers to the practice of spending time in Nature for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness.
Although inspired by the Japanese practice, we mean spending time in nature in a way that invites healing interactions. There is a long tradition of this in cultures throughout the world. It’s not just about healing people; it includes healing for the forest, river, or desert - whatever environment you are in. This is not just a walk in the forest, and it's also not hiking.
Through a series of 'invitations' offered, I will help awaken your senses to deepen your connection with yourself, with nature, and with others. At the end of each invitation we'll gather to share our impressions.
During the 2 hours of Forest Bathing:
Cost: A group of up to 10 people for $395
